Hi, I’m Charlene, a product designer based in Seattle.
What I love most about design is the moment a messy problem finally starts to make sense. My work starts with the system, not the screen: I go deep on how things work, down to the data and technical details, before I design anything. Over 7 years at HubSpot and Twilio, that has meant taking complex products and making them feel simple to use. I do the hard work so customers don’t have to.
I work in the open with engineering and product partners and welcome a good debate. I build with AI, prototyping ideas and exploring the edge of design and technology.
Away from my desk, you’ll find me remodeling some corner of my house, doing Pilates, or spending time in nature.
